Question 1

Do I need an account to dub a scene?

Accepted Answer

No. Pick a scene, allow the microphone and record — dubbing is free and needs no signup, and your dub goes live the moment you’ve watched it back. An account only matters if you want your name on it, want to find your dubs again from another device, or want to make your own scenes.

Question 2

Is dubcircus an online version of The Choicer Voicer?

Accepted Answer

No. It is an independent, free alternative that runs in your browser. The Choicer Voicer is a downloadable game; dubcircus does the same kind of thing without an install, and is not affiliated with it.

Question 3

Does my recording leave my browser?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every recording is saved to dubcircus as you make it, and your finished dub is published on the scene’s page the moment you’ve watched it back. You can take a dub down from My scenes & dubs whenever you like.

Question 4

Where do the scenes come from?

Accepted Answer

Some are classic dub packs and the rest are made by people pasting a YouTube link. Anyone can make a scene; it goes public the moment it’s ready, and its creator can take it down any time.

Question 5

Can I dub with other people?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Open a live room and share the four-letter code. Everyone records on their own device, then the room watches each version and votes for the best one.

Question 6

What do I need to run it?
